CoolKit is proud to announce a heartfelt commitment to support local families in need through a series of new charity initiatives.

Blackburn-with-Darwen, where CoolKit’s headquarters is based, eclipses the national average for child poverty, with 40.4% of children falling below the line according to the DWP.

For 2024, CoolKit has chosen to partner with Cash for Kids, a well-loved Lancashire charity dedicated to helping local children experience the magic of Christmas.

These are the stats from last year’s Mission Christmas Gift Appeal:

The team will be donating gifts to support Cash for Kids’ mission of ensuring that no child goes without during the festive season.

Gifts will be collected at CoolKit’s Blackburn base on Carl Fogarty Way before being delivered to Cash for Kids on 12 December.

The team will also be hosting a Christmas Jumper Day the same day along with a bake sale in support of Save the Children.

Georgina Grice, Head of People at CoolKit, said: “We know that Christmas can be a challenging time for many families, especially in our region.

“Cash for Kids and Save the Children do vital work, and we’re honoured to support their efforts this year. Every child deserves to experience joy during the holidays, and with the help of our local community, we’re eager to bring some of that joy to those who need it most.”

Rosalina Lobo, Cash for Kids Manager for Lancashire, said: “We are thrilled to that CoolKit has chosen to help support our mission to bring Christmas joy to children in our community.

“It is a difficult time for a lot of children in our region and support from local businesses is invaluable to our cause.”

CoolKit encourages members of the public to support Cash for Kids during the festive period, with locations across Lancashire collecting gifts for the charity to distribute.

Gift contributions would be gratefully received at CoolKit’s Blackburn base from 1 – 10 December.

Suggested gifts include:

  • 0-3 years – sensory toys, books, building blocks, bibs, teething rings
