CoolKit’s operations manager has been named finalist in the Rising Star category of this year’s Logistics UK Logistics Awards.
Alicia Threlfall, 28, joined the leading convertor of temperature controlled solutions as a sales and marketing trainee in 2013; a 21-year-old, straight out of university and keen to embark on the world of work.
Seven years on, the 28-year-old is CoolKit’s Operations Manager, overseeing a workforce of 60, and has been earmarked for a place in the senior management team.
Her career progression under the age of 30 clearly impressed those judging the awards and she will find out if she takes the winning title at a celebratory reception in London in December.
The awards, now in their fourth year, are the most prestigious in the sector which is at the heart of every part of the British economy and celebrate the companies and individuals who have made a significant contribution to the logistics and supply chain sectors.
Alicia said: “This is a fantastic accolade and while I’m certainly not one who likes to take centre stage, it is rewarding to know that I’m doing a good job and am being recognised among my peers.”
