About the role

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigerated vehicles, troubleshoot refrigeration units, maintain accurate records, communicate with customers, and collaborate with the Aftersales team to ensure optimal performance, longevity, and timely service completion.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on refrigerated vehicles to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration units, including electrical, lining and mechanical components.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and hours worked, for invoicing and warranty purposes.

  • Communicate effectively with customers on site.

  • Collaborate with other members of the Aftersales team to optimise workflow and ensure timely completion of service tasks.

About you

You will have previous experience as a Refrigerated Transport Engineer or similar role in the automotive or refrigeration industry, proficiency in diagnosing and repairing refrigeration systems, including electrical and mechanical components, strong technical knowledge of refrigeration principles, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a valid driver’s licence with a willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing refrigeration systems, including electrical and mechanical components.

  • Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration principles

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.

  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in refrigeration engineering or automotive mechanics preferred.
